Adnane BOUKAMEL

Professor

简介

Adnane BOUKAMEL is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Marseille, and holds a PhD and an "Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches " (HDR), in Solid Mechanics.

He spent the first half of his career in the academic world, as a teacher-researcher at École Centrale Marseille and at the CNRS « Laboratoire de Mécanique et d’Acoustique", where he developed teaching activities in the fields of mechanics and numerical modeling, and piloted several research projects in the field of multiphysics modeling of elastomeric material behavior, in a partnership framework with major industrial groups in the aeronautics and automotive sectors. In 2010, he was promoted to Director of the École Hassania des Travaux Publics in Casablanca, where he spearheaded a program to structure research by having the Kingdom's parliament pass a law enabling the school to award master's and doctorate degrees. He also developed two new executive education courses, a specialized master's degree in transport and logistics, accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, and a certificate in geomatics based on digital learning: a first in Morocco and Africa. Returning to France in 2014, he held the position of Scientific Director of the Railenium Technology Research Institute, developing several multi-partner research programs, for the benefit of the rail industry in France. From 2019 to 2024, he held the positions of Program Director, then Deputy Managing Director at École Centrale Casablanca, where he steered the school's training and research activities, while leading a mission to develop partnerships in Africa and India on behalf of the Groupe des écoles Centrale.

Recently, Adnane BOUKAMEL moved to China, where he was chosen by the Groupe des Écoles Centrale as French Director of Ecole Centrale de Pékin, thus pursuing his ambition to cultivate the training spirit of the Centralien generalist engineer in an international and multicultural ecosystem.

On the scientific front, Adnane BOUKAMEL continues to lead research into multi-physical and/or multi-scale models of the behavior of rubber-like materials, with two main lines of development:

- Micro-physically motivated modeling of polymer macro-chain networks, to reflect the hyperelastic behavior of these materials and understand their deformation micro-mechanisms.

- Chemo-thermo-mechanical modeling of elastomers to predict their lifecycle, with respect to thermo-mechanical fatigue and aging.
